Floors Optional: 1967 Ford Ranchero

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

If you were looking for a cheap Ranchero project, this $500 example in Alaska may fit the bill. However, when even the seller admits it’s in “pretty bad shape,” is it time to find something else? This Ranchero has no floors and a rough body, but does come with a 289 that still spins freely. Find it here on craigslist near Sterling, and thanks to Barn Finds reader Roger for the find.

Oof. Those floors are gone, man! Not to mention the door panels, too. It would seem this Ranchero has been sitting in one place for a very long time, or simply used every day in Alaska’s cruel climate. The interior is devoid of seats, console, or anything really, and it seems like this Ranchero has been a parts rig at some point.

The body does have some good panels, like the tailgate and perhaps even the bumpers can be saved. Tail light lenses also appear sound, and the doors and fender (at least on the passenger side) look like they can be re-used. While the Ranchero is certainly making a come-back as it relates to value among collectors, I’m not sure whether this example can be saved.

If you’re looking for a Ranchero project that’s closer to home and less of a rust bucket, be sure to check out one of four examples we have in the large Georgia collection we’re helping bring to market here on Barn Finds. You can read about the two-part series of finds in Part 1 andPart 2, hyperlinked respectively.

When these are closer to the lower 48 and in decent condition, they don’t bring much money.

it would cost more than $500 in gas to go and fetch it. Scrap.

There’s only one thing you can do with this: slice it in half and sell each side to a Bass Pro Shop as wall decoration. Actually, if you did that and sold the tailgate and engine you might even make some money.

Alternatively, put in some plexiglass floors and give your passengers the ride of their lives!

The only thing that might save it is it’s location. The local market will determine if it’s worth the asking price.

Amazing how the floor is non existent, but the outer body panels are not all that bad. That tailgate could go for a couple hundred.

That’s what happens when you have a windshield leak and never fix it.

$100.00 to deliver it 136 miles,I’m about 4100 miles, that works out to about $3100.00. … I was so close to buying this! There is some parts to be had, but I prefer the look of the one from the Georgia collection.
