This classic features a 350ci V8, a three-speed Hydramatic transmission, a 3.73 rear end, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The small-block was still a reasonable weapon in 1974, placing 245hp and 280 ft/lbs of torque beneath the driver’s right foot. We’ve reached the point where this Z28 comes into its own on several fronts. The seller confirms that it retains its numbers-matching drivetrain, including ancillary components like the carburetor. I know some readers don’t find that crucial, but that characteristic can significantly affect future value. The Camaro is a turnkey proposition that runs and drives extremely well. It is ready for the new owner to wheel out of their garage for some immediate classic motoring pleasure.

Let me start off with, this is a very clean example and appears to be in excellent condition. The seller could have splurged on more pics and surprisingly, not one pic of underneath, or under the hood. While the car is really nice, I think the price is a little high. 1974 was part of the emissions/gas crunch era, performance was neutered and the government kept making new restrictions, that added more weight. The seller is asking 3 pedal, a/c money, for it and if I were to drop $36 large on a 1974 anything, I would expect a 4-spd and a/c.

In our neck of the woods, anything these years rusted away to nothing if they were driven at all so you don’t see them. That said, nice car, could be equipped better, I agree. Be interesting to see where the selling price ends up.

Sorry, I don’t see a $36,000 car. It’s nice but even with original drive train with TMU, and no pics of it, I wouldn’t pay that.
I agree with KHayes’ commentary. I also question the overall desirability of this car. It doesn’t come close to the models of the 67-73 era.

That’s really sweet. I always comment about the 76 I had and miss it dearly. But as nice as it is, I just can’t justify the ask. Seems a solid 7-8K too high for a really basic build overall.

1974 was the only year that the Z28 came with those original stock decals. I’m 100 % on that because I bought one, and still have it in mint condition. I swapped and saved the original 350 and 4 speed BW T10 for a ZZ430 motor and a Tremec 5 speed – awesome car !
