No Reserve! 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Project

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

There aren’t too many specific years of classic cars that are household names, but the “57 Chevy” is one of them. This 1957 Bel Air is being sold at no reserve here on eBay with a current bid of just over $2,000. Located in Brooklyn, Iowa, I’m guessing the seller is flipping the car or selling it for someone else. The ad says they do have a clean Iowa title, which is a plus. Have a closer look at this one and see if you are up for the challenge of tackling this project.

There are quite a few spare parts included with the sale. Along with the small parts seen here, the seller says they have various sheet metal parts including door skins and a right-rear lower quarter skin. Unfortunately, there is no engine or transmission included with the sale.

The seller doesn’t include many photos of the interior, trunk, or engine compartment in the ad. Based on the lower rockers and the admission of the seller saying the car will need trunk pans and floor pans, I’m guessing the rust is pretty extensive.

Here you can see some of the rust damage. I’m not sure if this car would be better as a project or a donor car? It looks like a huge project to me. What do you think?

Lot of old parts, not much car.

Barn Find, your credibility is getting lower by the day. A lot of garbage (cars like this) aren’t worth the price of scrap metal or the powder to blow them to hell. Get a grip and keep the scrap metal off this page.

That poor old thing looks like a Ohio rust bucket, not a Iowa car.
