There’s something cool about an original-appearing C3 Corvette, even if it isn’t really original–and this one looks the part! The pretty convertible is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s listed for sale here on eBay without a reserve, and 40 bids have only driven the sales price to $20,100 as I write. Let’s take a closer look at this Chevrolet.

I’m a big fan of the early C3 convertibles with chrome bumpers front and rear. I would skip the unusual features and higher prices of the ’68 models in my C3 dreams, so this fits my ideal window. The seller states that the Targa Blue paint is an “amateur finish,” but I’m ok with that. I’m also pretty sure that hood style wasn’t factory for a 350/four-speed “normal” Corvette, but please feel free to correct me. I still think it’s nice-looking!

The seller states that the car has been garaged and babied, but does not say the interior is original. It sure does look nice, though. They do state the convertible top is new, and it appears well-installed considering how straight the rear window looks. We know it’s been folded at least once from the pictures — would you leave it down and garaged when it rains?

I’m so used to the typical later coupes that I forget the C3 convertibles actually have usable trunks. Perhaps there was a requirement for golf clubs? At least there’s no luggage rack (long-time BarnFinds readers will remember that debate; feel free to weigh in via the comment section below).

I’m sure this is a regular old 350 V-8, but that’s not a bad thing. Plenty of horsepower, even in EPA-emission-mandated form, to propel even a base-model ‘Vette from 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. I should point out that a 2025 Prius can do that in 6.6 seconds, but think of the style points you get in the Corvette. I think that’s good for at least two seconds, right? Will you be bidding on this no-reserve convertible? Let us know in the comments below!

2 things: The hood is goofy looking if you don’t have a 427 under it; and mentioning a Prius in comparison to a Corvette is not only blasphemy but just sort of dumb. Most smog-era C3s were modified and the 350 is legendary for more punch.
But to each his own, if you’d prefer the Prius over the ‘Vette ,,,
