Procharged 29K Miles: 1991 Chevrolet Corvette

In absolutely mint condition, this 29,000 mile 1991 Chevrolet Corvette is a nice find with a little extra power. Equipped with a Procharger centrifugal supercharger it is easy to imagine that this ‘Vette can get a bit out of hand. This low mileage beauty can be yours for the buy it now price of $15,900. Be sure to check out this clean C5 here on eBay out of Clinton, Michigan.

It seems that many C5 Corvettes were subject to abuse, but this car is absolutely clean inside and out. With a whopping 29,000 original miles, this V8 is still young despite the power adder. The Procharger runs 10 lbs of boost, which just has to be a fun ride. This unit is intercooled, and boy it is a tight fit even though everything fits nicely. The only under hood drawback is the fact that the air conditioning system requires some work.

Crisp and clean, the interior has been well taken care of besides some wrinkles in the leather. There are no broken components or fading like many C5’s suffer. The interior is remarkably original, minus a boost gauge installed under the dash. Pop in your favorite cassette tape, and enjoy the top down supercharged sounds.

The color certainly harks to the early 1990’s and the Grand Sport wheels are a favorite of mine versus the slicers that these C5’s typically came with. While I am not crazy about the luggage rack, it is a nice break in contrast on the body. The paint is fabulous on this Corvette. Looking from every angle there is no evidence of swirls or scratches. Thankfully the seller has been honest and admits that there are a few rocks chips and minor scratches. While C5’s may not be the most exciting, they are classics now. Finding a nice example like this 1991 model is becoming difficult, and the Procharger makes for an interesting and entertaining ride. Would you invest in this budding classic?

You’re right, NYC. Somebody needs a crash course in Corvette evolution.

Sharp. The black makes the teal work.

16K for an automatic, hideous colored convertible with a supercharger on a stock motor? I want whatever drugs the dealers on. Hell I wouldn’t even try and argue the $95 documentation fee.

One of the local Corvette shops I sell to, built a similar car in the 90’s, it was even the same color.

They installed a supercharged 383 stroker in a 92 convertible. That thing really was scary. Not so much because of all the power it had, but because under acceleration, the torque twisted the convertible body so much, that the courtesy light switches lost contact with the doors, and the interior lights would flicker on and off!

Zr-1s are going for that price… barely.

Blech. There’s nothing appealing about a teal automatic C4. To each his/her own, but I wouldn’t take it for free.

Of course it had to be an automatic. Nope.

This is a C4 Corvette the price is pretty good considering it only has $29,000 original miles

Like the color, don’t mind the automatic at my age. At the right price, could be a nice cruiser.

Car looks good, bit high IMO pricewise, supercharger or not. I wonder how that the blower has been on the engine and what’s the boost on it, and was the engine beefed up before adding the blower. L98’s have been known to blow the head gasket on the #7 cylinder IIRC so that’s something to watch.

Seeing about 80% of Vettes are automatics, it’s little wonder that this one is one of them. I could see the car without the blower and doing some road miles on it. It even has a luggage rack on it, so IMO that’s a good point. Just a little too high IMO for what it is.

It does look like my 92 C4 though, except mine is a coupe and different colors.
