Nice 👍 Really like these models!
Old girlfriend bought her black 1985 Celica GTS new off the showroom floor. Best car I have ever driven. Great balance with the 22re engine up front. Someday I’ll find a spotless black GTS
Ahh yes, when Toyota was King. I guess Honda was too, but the Supra was king of affordable, reliable performance. For me, it was the interior design and build quality that put them over the top, mechanicals not withstanding. Hey Revology, Inc., if your listening: I’m not the only one who would by a brand new version of this car if you’ll make it!
I had a 85 GT back in college. One of my most favorites of all the cars I’ve owned. Great engine. The transmission was smooth. If this one wasn’t red, I would probably take a hard look.
Funny how well the designers did in making the front bumper a good looking part of the style…. And the rear one looks like a fireplace mantel.
Great car, they really are fun to drive. Nice to see a seller that does not attempt to hide the duct-taped seat bolsters.
But I can’t, I just bought something else Monday!
Are we reading the outline sheets they use before doing a write up?
Alan(michigan) I never could understand what happen to the rear bumper on the GTS’ when they got the rear bumper on the Supra perfect. My old girlfriends GTS was black so not too bad of a look.
My college girlfriend had one of these she borrowed from her father. Also in red. Great memories of adventures in that car. I think theirs was a bit older since it had the flip-down headlights but they were unconcealed and on the front slant. Looks like the same interior though. I remember there had been some issues with the rear hatch which needed to be replaced after only a few years due to insane rust. I can still feel the lug of that engine going through the gears. This is a nice model. Would be fun to have.
My favorite era of Celica (other than 1st gen). So rare to find one of these unmolested.
