T-Bird Lane: 1963 Ford Thunderbird

1963 Ford Thunderbird

UPDATE 11/28/15 – This one is back on eBay without the optimistic BIN.

FROM 5/12/15 – Imagine cruising along top down in your beautiful Thunderbird convertible with the wind doing the usual things to your hair. The story of this 1963 Thunderbird convertible was that it was driven into a garage in 1980 and eventually buried in the owner’s horde along with 3 Harley’s. It’s hard to imagine what it must have been like for his family cleaning up after he passed away. Hopefully, they found many treasures buried in the trash. The motorcycles were probably more of a treasure than this T-Bird. Do you think this car could be worth the $12,000 BIN price? They say the interior and carpets need to be replace so perhaps the mice have been busy over the years? The top probably needs replacing as well. Hopefully the person who buys it will get it for a reasonable price and not have to spend too much money reviving it to it’s former glory. It’s for sale in Graham, Washington (just south of Tacoma) and listed here on eBay. Would you take a spin down T-Bird lane?

The listing has been pulled already, stating “item not available.” I wonder what happened??? :-)

Somebody came to an agreement on price with them and got it for way less than if the auction had continued.

Yep Gone. Cash Talks. I hope whoever got it, shows us pics of the restoration. I see waay to many cars at Texas Swap Meets that are great, they sell then nothing, never to be seen again. Speaking of T-Birds, I have a ’59 Convertible I may sell..

Maybe, but I’ll bet that in 10 or 20 years some of them will show up on Ebay/CL and then be posted here on Barn Finds, still looking like they did at those swap meets.

Check that—-some of them will have wavy trunk lids, roofs, or hoods that they didn’t have before because they served as shelving like the poor ‘Bird in this BF entry.
