29k Mile 1971 Dodge Super Bee 383 4-Speed!

Ricky Matthews sent us this 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee that is located in Foley, Alabama which is halfway between Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida. The car is listed for sale here on craigslist for $24,900. The seller states that the car is a cleaned-up barn find that has been off the road since the 1980s.

The green vinyl interior matches the exterior. If you look closely, you will see three pedals under the dash. The Charger is equipped with a 4-speed transmission and bench seat. Apparently something fell on the car because there is a dent in the roof and on the driver door. The car is reportedly still covered in its original paint.

The numbers matching 383 cubic inch V8 engine still resides under the hood. The bottom of the car is covered in surface rust and the driver’s floorboard is rusted through. The seller believes the car has only traveled 29,865 miles. The car does start and run and looks like it has a new distributor cap. The carburetor needs to be rebuilt because the seller states that it is leaking.

The Super Bee went out in style and moved from the Coronet to the Dodge platform in 1971. It would not appear on another Dodge production car until 2007. This car appears solid and will need very little to get it on the road. I wonder how old those Goodyear tires are that are mounted on the rally wheels?

Looks to be a good buy as it appears to be in somewhat better shape many cars for sale here. But for $25k, the seller should repair/replace the carb. And please don’t tell us it has 29k miles, when the pics seemingly show otherwise.

The writer is simply telling you what the seller says.

This car was on a tv show when it was bought from the original owner out of a barn. Can not remember the shows name.

If the car is rust free as described, the deal is worth it. I’m sure a few thousand can be knocked off the deal since it was sitting so long. Plus it’s a 4 speed!

It ain’t rust free if there’s a hole in the floor..best to check it good IMO..rusted air cleaner and radiator cap..kinda nitpicking but not good signs

Export car (see the tag on the core support). This car is solid as a rock…small hole in floor, or not. The underside looks pretty amazing.

Neat car that seems in better condition than 90 percent of the listings we comment on.
With the photos apparent location [really big shop] it seems very strange the seller wouldnt invest a handful of money and make the car a runner.
Heck a couple grand and its double the ask according to most Mopar posts
    Maybe im missing something.

This is a featured Graveyard car.
Very original car. The description here does not do it justice.
