What a beautiful car, or at least appearing to be in beautiful condition. The word beautiful is so subjective, but condition-wise, it’s hard to argue with this one. The seller says it’s as clean underneath as it is elsewhere, and I believe it. Produced from late 1991 for the 1992 model year until the end of 1997, they only came in this four-door sedan body style. These big 1990s cars aren’t for everyone, but if you want an analog vehicle, one that can actually be worked on outside of a dealership, or one you can work on yourself, this is it. You can’t swipe restaurant choices on the 17″ touchscreen display, but then again, that display won’t friggin’ give out in the middle of Tennessee when you’re THREE DAYS INTO A TWO-WEEK ROAD TRIP (not bitter). So, most likely, the radio will always work. You already have a phone, so get a vent clip to use the phone’s GPS and forget about all that built-in tech nonsense. Here’s what the trunk looks like. It’s big enough to save $150 a night on hotel costs, and it’s a lot cleaner than most hotel rooms in post-2020 America. I’m not actually suggesting that you sleep in the trunk, of course (whew, that was close).
In case you were wondering, leather seats weren’t available for the “base” Grand Marquis GS; it has velour fabric, and they look good here. Perhaps a bit flatter than I had expected to see for a 48,700-mile car, but it looks great inside, both front and rear. I believe there is an engine somewhere in the photo above, and it should be a Ford 4.6-liter (280-cu.in) OHV V8, which was factory-rated at 190 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a four-speed AOD automatic to the rear wheels, and it sounds like the seller has done a ton of maintenance, including a “New Fuel Pump, Fuel Tank Cleaned, 4 New Electric Window Motors 4 New Electric Window Regulators, 4 New Whitewall Tires, New 12V 850 Cold Amps Battery.” Would any of you use this Grand Marquis as your daily driver?

I agree. I see cars like this in similar shape fairly often. The seller is dreaming with that (firm) price ask, imo. They’ll be sitting on that car for a long time.

I went to the actual site and looked at all the pictures and read the manifest of what’s on the vehicle. It’s a very nice mercury. However, there is no CD player and no auto temp air-conditioning. If I’m going back in time, I’d like to have those options. I love the wheels, the white walls, the interior, and the exterior. They’re all in very good condition. I guess you have to get the Lincoln town car in order to have more backseat room. The leg room doesn’t look overly abundant in the mercury and I suppose the crown Vic. I use my 98 Mercury Grand Marquis as a daily driver by choice. Also have an 03 Camry, and an 01 Forester which are driven part time. This MGM has the special HPP (handling performance package) which includes HD suspension, a 3:27 locker diff, and dual exhaust. It is a great highway cruiser.

That’s high price on that car. The figure I believe is 4500-5500. I have a 1998 Marguis GS with factory duals and air ride. Mine had a used motor put in 23,000 miles ago and I bought it from the estate of the orginal owner I’d love to get 8500 for it but that’s not happening.
The only problem with this car is the 4.6 engine. I owned a 97 Ford Vic & a 03 Lincoln Town Car; in both, I had issues with spark plugs shooting out of the heads. Great on mpg, great ride, but the design Ford used for those heads sucked.
