Beautiful 1972 Chevrolet K20 Cheyenne 4×4

There’s something special about a ’72 Cheyenne pickup. The two-tone paint is awesome. The grille is iconic and the trim is handsome without being over the top. When you combine all that with a K20 4×4, you have something really special. This truck can be found here on eBay with a current bid of over $26,000. The ad says the truck is originally from California and now resides in North Texas. Being sold by Desirable Autos and Classics in Springtown, Texas, there are a ton of high-quality photos in the ad, which is great. As you will see, this is a really nice truck that still will still give the new owner a few things to upgrade at their leisure as they enjoy it.

The interior is spectacular with the green/wood grain combination. It goes really well with the green/white two-tone exterior. It has been freshened up a little bit with new carpet, door armrest pads, and seat cover. It presents really nicely and there’s nothing that needs to be done that I can tell.

With as clean as the outside and interior are, the engine bay is a little bit of a letdown. The 350 block is a nice Chevy Orange, but it could use a detail job! You can see this truck is loaded with options including power brakes, power steering, and air conditioning. The ad says it starts and runs well and seems to have no issues with the drive train.

Here you can see in some light the green paint almost looks black. The wheels and tires are a nice choice, but could easily be changed if the buyer wants to make it look more stock. The ad says the truck has been repainted from the white up to the roof, but the rest is original. Overall, this is a sharp-looking truck that I’m sure anyone would be proud to own. What do you think?

Sure are a lot of nice pickups lately. Wonder what that means? I just don’t see some snowflake restoring these, so they must have been dad’s( or grandpa’s) pride and joy. These, and the ’76 Ford, just the best of the best. Someone going to get a nice truck.

My uncle had a near twin to this one. I remember when he drove up in it, I was kind of surprised to see it running an automatic. Until then it was almost a cardinal sin to run a 4×4 without a manual transmission. Automatics seemed soooo Urban…

This one sure is fine. Id like the factory rims, maybe they will be in the 8ft bed for the new owner?

It’s a Super Cheyenne but what’s a Custom Camper? I would guess automatic with K20 and 4wd is rare?

I had a 72 GMC in high school it had a 4 bolt 350 with 456 gears, of course it needed headers, a Holly intake and 650 cfm carb and better ignition system it’s darn respected in short races but 92 mph was about all on top of I can remember correctly. This is a darned nice pickup, never did I think the day would come when they would be worth this amount!

Yup they don’t make them like that anymore. I have a 64 GMC 3/4 ton 4×4 with 305 v6. Not much top end but that thing will pull!
