Collection of Eight Vintage Broncos!

Those of you who have built a project vehicle know how valuable a good parts donor vehicle can be. If you are building (or want to build) a classic Bronco, this may be the collection for you. There are eight first-generation Broncos for sale here on Craigslist with an asking price of $15,000 for the entire collection. Located in Colchester, Vermont, near the Canadian border, transportation costs should be a consideration for potential buyers. Thanks to Barn Finds reader to AMX Brian for the tip on this find.

The collection is not being parted out nor being sold vehicle-by-vehicle. If you want one, you’ve got to take them all. While $15,000 seems like a hefty asking price, the value of first generation Broncos has been going through the roof. Out of these eight vehicles, you could likely piece together one complete (and nice) Bronco. With scrap prices for what’s left, you’d probably be ahead of the game. The big challenge is moving them, storing them, etc.

The orange one is specifically called out by the seller as having the best potential for restoration. Most of the sixteen rear quarter panels have been cut, but there are a few that are original and uncut. Six of them are said to be original V8 Broncos. Other than that, there isn’t much information in the ad.

Based on the photos, it looks like you could take the best components from each Bronco and make one good one. Grill here, door here, fender there, top here…voila, you’ve got a classic Bronco that just needs paint. Which one of you is ready to take the plunge? Share your thoughts.

I know who the owner is and a friend of the family took me through the property once. These vehicles are the tip of the iceberg for interesting things sitting there. All sorts of old trucks, work vehicles, municipal surplus, etc. Very very interesting place but last I knew the owner didn’t want to sell anything. Perhaps he’s had a change of heart.

It seems you are the only one who know this person, what state are these vehicles in?

        A very sad state, unfortunately.

They are located in VT. Owner is an older gentleman who owns or owned a construction hauling type company. I’m frankly not sure if he’s with us anymore. I will see the person who knows them well on Thursday and will inquire about the Broncos and other treasures that were there when I went through.

I love these first generation Broncos but not 15K plus hauling then piecing 8 together to make one 5K Bronco that will need a interior and rebuilt drivetrain.

Relax. It’s on Craigslist so they expect a local purchase. And given the description in the comments the owner doesn’t really want to sell so take all or none at my price. Personally, too much work for me.

Wowsa nice damp ground and rusty Broncos…..

Oh boy for 15 just buy one in better shaps and save
your marriage or your sanity of assembling broken cars ….,

One mans junk is another mans rust here …

Consider putting them for 3500 and buyer clears your land of scrap metal.. and you get the eye sores gone

    “…this Same Bronco ad before…”
    No reason to pull it.

Still wonderin if they’re “Ed’s” the VT Community College guy.

    He did what I’m up to – a 250/4.1 i6.
I’ve added an NV 3550 and DS II. RBS carb.
    1″BL & amp;2″SL, 4 discs, 33 inch wheels, PTO, 3 tops (soft, 1/2 cab’n wagon tops). Tool boxes, sno plow, bench/bucket seats…

Sorry, better stop there, it’s (1/2) another whole story…

For resto build the nicest one, build the rest into what we call locally “Booney Bashers” for hard core off roading. For a Booney Basher one cares not if its got a FOMOCO battery cable, Or the proper trim and lights,,
My neighbors kid and his buddys have a grave yard of Toyotas on his dads farm. They buy them up, strip them down, Goes into town on a trailer and the floors and bodys get Rhino liner, Roll bars, and in some cases Exoskelotons as well as mudder tires and lifts, and bunch of perf parts. Some safety gear, LOTS of snatch hooks, Snatch cables, winch mounts front and rear and lots of flood lights.
I see them headed to the hills all the time,, and a few that come back on a trailer. Its not fun unless someone rolls one down a hill, goes end over end, or buried up to your A** in the mud. Good clean hillbilly fun.
Of course, price point is relative.. They do this with all kinds of 4x4s, Toyotas, jeeps, Fords, Chevys,,, even a few Geo’s. This pile would have them drooling (Not at this price,, but still…this would be the holy grail for booney bashers.
My wife and her friends used to do this as well in the hills around Molalla, Stayton and Dickey prairie when they were younger. Im glad to see younger folks doing the same. (you LEARN a lot doing this, Physics, engineering, mechanics, and common sense)
