This vehicle was once a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. Now it’s “Florida Sunshine In A Can,” a custom build that was intended for a promotional venture. As a “can car,” we’re told this was a professional build that attracts attention wherever it goes (we assume it’s street legal). Located in Cocoa Beach, Florida (after all, it is the Sunshine State), this one-of-a-kind whatever is available here on Facebook Marketplace for $22,500 (reduced from $24,000).

A lot of VW Beetles have become dune buggies over the years. But this one became something else, a rolling beverage can that surely attracts a crowd everywhere it travels. We assume it has standard Beetle gear, such as the air-cooled engine and 4-speed manual transmission. The mileage is 25,000 but is that since 1972 or from when this custom build was done?

Because of its shape, the seller suggests this could be a great promotional opportunity for a brewery or other beverage seller that uses aluminum cans in their business. “Florida Sunshine In A Can” was built for a souvenir concept. Did that ever get off the ground? We don’t know.

The paint is custom and a real standout, and the car has a giant cooler in the front (for ice and consumables?). It also comes with a CD stereo and lights that glow in the dark to add to the promotional capabilities. We’re told the vehicle runs well, so perhaps it’s turnkey except for putting on a wrap that suits your needs. If you want something that no one else has, this could be it.
