So, what is it? Well, it’s one of the many creations that supposedly became famous for its association with legendary dare-devil Evel Knievel. This Cadillac-powered trike-on-steroids is listed here on eBay as part of a German collection, and bidding is light at $3,049. It apparently left the states years ago after being sold off from a Florida-based collection and ended up overseas. The seller notes that the estate of the deceased owner has little info about their relative’s car collection, which appears to house other treasures. After being added to the collection in the early ’80s, this bike/hot-rod combo hasn’t seen the road for decades and will require re-commissioning to be roadworthy. My personal favorite of the Knievel vehicles has to be the Mack transporter truck that I last heard of being in the Tampa, Florida area; whether it was ever restored is unknown to me. I’m not sure of the history of this custom trike, or what it’s specific connection to Evel Knievel is (although Marcus G, a friend of the seller did contact us, so perhaps he will be able to answer some questions), but we’d welcome your input if you remember him racing or riding this rig in his heydey!

Evel Knievel Custom Trike: Found Overseas
Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.
The Mack transporter truck was bought and towed to North Carolina where it underwent a complete restoration. It was all documented on the show American Trucker a few years ago.
It never ceases to amaze me, all the stuff that this guy had his face on, from lunch boxes to, well, this. IDK if this thing is even driveable. I wonder if it has individual rear brakes, like a tractor, for steering, as the front wheel would never touch the ground. As much of a daredevil as he was, I doubt even he would drive this. I’m no welder, but the welds look pretty shoddy and no wheelie bar ?(although, it looks like something was attached to the rear underside at one time)
I wonder if this was really built for Mr. Knievel or if it was just some fan’s creation. The only trike associated with him is the Harley Trike. He had some unique vehicles, but they were all functional and he enjoyed using them, from the old panrl truck to his Cadillac pickup.
(BTW, did you see the American Pickers show where a fan had purchased everything of his, from a muffin tin to 100 pairs of his under shorts?)
I’d be willing to take this down the 1/4 mile!
it does not have a reserve so it will sell. but seller needs to prove its history. belongs on display if it is one of his vehicles. interesting find.
There’s an auto museum in Branson, MO that has several Knievel vehicles on display. They seem like the most likely kind of buyer.
Only know of two trikes –the Harley and the Jet —- think it is fan built
i bought the trike on ebay i m leaving in the south france do you have more informations on it?
regards
