Classic Ford trucks have been gaining a lot of value over the past few years. As trucks from the late 1970s are now over 40 years old, they have become more collectible. This beautiful 1978 F-250 can be found here on eBay with a current bid of $9,100. Located in Lakewood, Washington, the truck still resides with the original family that purchased it new. It has been subjected to what could best be described as a “light restoration” and looks like a great truck. Have a look for yourself.
The seller says the interior has been “redone” with a custom seat, carpet, and door panels. Overall, the interior presents really well and looks like a comfortable spot to cruise in.
The 351 cubic inch V8 has been rebuilt by Portland Engine Rebuilders. The ad says the 4×4 works perfectly and features Warn locking hubs. The front and rear axles are a Dana 44 and Dana 60 respectively and the seller says “runs and drives like a newer truck.”
The truck has been repainted once around the year 2009 in the original color. The seller does say there is minor surface rust but overall, the truck presents well. The turbine-style mag wheels are a nice vintage touch. This appears to be another nice survivor-type pickup that should be enjoyed for years to come. What do you think?
I like the F-150 from those years. Too bad this is a 250, I’d be all over it.
Far better being an F250, stronger frame, rear axle, ect.
Wow…and gone before it even got started. I like this one better than the ’76 posted recently. That one sold for $17k to give you an idea of what the buyer might have offered for this. And this has the Western/Turbine type wheels which I think are the perfect wheel for this truck
