It may be hard to tell from the photo, but this was once a beautiful 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. It was the Caddy to have back in the mid-fifties with its convertible top and 25 extra horsepower over the non-Eldorado models. This one has obviously seen better days though. After being exposed to the elements for many years, there’s hardly anything left. Still, bidding is already healthy here on eBay so there must be more than a few people who think it’s worth saving. Personally, I would go with this unfinished project instead. Either way, it’s going to get expensive. With values ranging from $60k for a driver all the way up to $200k for a perfect car, the gamble might just be worth it though. This car may be paper thin, but that paper could turn out to be green!

I’d go with the red too. Everything it needs the rusty one will need also. I think you’d be money ahead until the red one goes over 50K on the bidding.

Wow! There really is nothing left of this once beautiful American showpiece. The red project would be a great choice, at least until the bidding gets stupid. It may. Such impressive cars in thier day. Sad to see.

I love these cars but I think this one is to far gone. Needs everything! If you can get the red one for under 30K you would be money ahead. Worth watching the bidding on to see where it goes.

I have a lead on a 56 Seville body that I guess would make doing the car a bit easier.
I also have a 56 Biarritz that has had a restoration started on it, factory Black over Red.
I have an (almost) rust free 56 eldo seville in original barn find condition, that could pair well with the rusty convertible to make a really good car. Humm.

I think this car might have come from Tulsa back in ’07! They opened the fault, pulled out the ’57 Plymouth Belvedere, then somebody shouted, “Wait! There’s another one down there!”…
