This 1984 Ford Mustang LX features a host of options that make it a desirable specimen, not to mention being in stock, clean condition. It has under 100,000 original miles and retains all of its original equipment, from the special-order Sport GT interior with mint-condition sport cloth seats, to the sunroof surrounded by an stain-free headliner. Find this survivor Fox Body here on eBay where bidding is just over $6,500.
Many of these early “four-eyed” Mustangs were Pace Car special editions or more ordinary four-cylinder models saddled with an automatic. Finding an enthusiast-grade factory build car that isn’t either of those is a rare find, made rarer still by the stock condition this one remains in. The seller claims this paint is completely original aside from a few touch-up spots, which is impressive considering the shine that’s obvious from the photos.
Those optional factory buckets are tasty, looking quite Recaro-like in style. The seller notes that the original owner put seat covers over the front and rear seats shortly after purchase, which explains their phenomenal condition. Paired with the manual transmission, it’s clear this Mustang was bought by the same person who might buy a new turbocharged example with the Recaro seat option today. In addition to the clean condition and V8 + manual combo, this one also sports some slick period window louvers.
The engine remains unmodified – not even an exhaust – and the seller notes some minor seapage of seals as its worst offense. Even the commonly modified radio is, in fact, an aftermarket unit, but this car was a radio delete straight from the factory. Pull the Kenwood out and you’re 100% back to stock condition. Based on the seller’s garage, I’d say he knows a thing or two about clean Mustangs. This one is, not surprisingly, going to find a new owner shortly.
And it’s sold!
The Mustang didn’t hang around for long. It’s already sold.
I know the seller. His cars are always top notch.
Did this mustang sell ? Very Rare car . I own an 82 5.0 Notchback and an 86.
I have a 82 5.0 hatch back.
Always disliked those wheels/hubcaps, even on the pickup trucks.
Nice car at a fair price.(before a flipper got it)
a flipper was the seller … even has a shot of his trailer in the background of one of the pics
obviously a Ford person based on the many, many cars in the background of the pics
very cool car nonetheless
What’s with the paint at the back in the first photo? Looks like a different shade?
Bid to $7300 and then all bids cancelled because the car is ‘no longer available’. Was for sale locally. Nice car for the money.
The seller has sold lot of Mustangs on Ebay in the past few years. Someone wanting one might want to look at this sellers frequently and make an offer.
So I looked at the feedback for his sold vehicles and saw this feedback:
“Got the rare Saleen I was looking for. Thanks, now to start the resto. Ford : Mustang (#110600022882) US $4,850.00”
:Looks like I should have been checking his listings myself……
I’m trying to find a 87 to 93 saleen convertible which is my holy grail car .
This Mustang is amazing, it will be very difficult to find this one like this again. It checks all the boxes, the more rare notchback coupe with the 5.0 engine, manual transmission, very more rare GT interior in tan. I would put on a set of TRX wheels and it would pop even more. Wow!
Where can you find rear window louvers for notchbacks?
I had a 1984 L notchback 5.0 5 speed
Option 3.08 gear and factory non air conditioning. With same 14″ wheels and single exit exhaust pipe. It had full length hooker headers and one side with turn down under car to keep the sleeper look. I could beat any gt easy. Light weight and speed shifts.

I paid 5,000 for it with 12000 miles late 1985
Payment was 150 a month and insurance was 195 a month with clean record. Male under 25 lol.
Those first year 5 speeds were absolute junk.
