BF Classifieds: 1918 Oldsmobile Model 45 And More

This 1918 Oldsmobile Model 45 7-passenger Touring Car is one of approximately 8,100 produced. It appears to be in really nice shape but that’s about all we know. However, the seller has listed not just the Oldsmobile but 26 other vehicles and some parts here in our own Barn Finds Classifieds! They are located in Quincy, Illinois and have the Model 45 priced at $17,000. By the way, the Oldsmobile has an original V-8!

Here are some of the other interesting cars listed. This is a 1949 DeSoto Club Coupe (there’s a ’49 Sedan listed as well if you want more doors). The seller is asking $12,500 for this beauty.

This is a 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe pickup — the price on this solid-looking truck is $17,500. That same figure will get you a 1939 Chevrolet pickup from the seller if you want an earlier model.

This is the car I want from the collection — a 1949 DeSoto woody wagon with only 53,000 miles showing. It’s a little pricier at $85,000 (which is why I won’t be it’s next owner) but tell me when you’ve seen another one!

This 1972 Hurst/Olds Indy pace car replica (at least I assume it’s a replica) is listed at $30,000. Wouldn’t it be cool if it were a genuine pace car?

Naturally, due to my love of XJSs I’m partial to this Hess & Eisenhardt convertible (before the factory made them), which is listed at only $9,500.

This original appearing 1960 MGA roadster is listed at $17,500, and there are a bunch of MGA parts available as well if you want some spares with the car.

Possibly the classiest car included in the listing is this 1930 Chrysler Imperial Dual Sidemount/Rumble Seat Convertible. The seller tells us it’s one of only 15 produced by the Locke Body Corporation. The asking price for this gem is $35,000. Be sure and let us know if you purchase any of these cars, and remember, if you have any classics to sell be sure and list them in the Barn Finds Classifieds!

Cool collection. That green wagon is gorgeous indeed. The one to snag just may be that H/O, she looks pretty nice, appears to be all there and is priced well enough to warrant a closer look.

Interesting cars, priced to sell. Perhaps it is an estate.

And the bargain is the Jag, if it was well maintained, and if you maintain it, it will take you anywhere you want to go. These are inexpensive at the moment.

Charlie, have you ever paid to maintain a jag? They are cheap for a reason.

Quite a collection and seemingly well priced. However, no mention of which ones run, which are stock, etc, etc.

Bob, yes, I owned a 1960 XK 150 S, fixed head. And, for a few years I could afford it, I was single, had a good job, time to tinker, and two good friends who were mechanically inclined. (And I had a ’56 Chevy if I had to rely on my car to get somewhere on time, and AAA). Bought it for $350 in 1967. No rust. FAST. Then marriage, kids, old house that needed fixing, and it would turn over, but not fire. Local “foreign car mechanic” (Hungarian I think) could not fix it. Gave up and sold it for $350. It might still be out there – left factory dark blue, female owner before me had it repainted metal flake purple/pink and could not afford the every 3000 mile 16 quart oil changes.

I think that “30” Chrysler would classify as a “Handsome” car !
I is a nice looking ride, so were the others.
